Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This policy covers data use in DualCapture and DualTake, including advertising measurement with Singular.

1. Introduction

This policy covers the DualCapture and DualTake mobile apps (the "App"). It explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and your choices.

It also covers information you send us in support requests and other messages.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information from and about users of our App:

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • No Account Required: You do not need to create an account to use the App.
  • Purchase Information: When you make in-app purchases or subscribe to premium features, we collect transaction information through Apple's App Store. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details.
  • Support Requests: If you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide in your request.
  • User Content: Photos and videos you capture using the App are stored locally on your device unless you choose to share them.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: We collect information about your mobile device, including device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including features accessed, session duration, and interaction patterns.
  • Crash Reports: If the App crashes, we may collect diagnostic information to help us identify and fix issues.
  • Analytics Data: We use analytics services to understand App usage and improve our services.

2.3 Camera and Microphone Access

The App requires access to your device's camera and microphone to provide its core functionality. All photo and video data is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share content through a third-party service.

Advertising measurement (Singular)

We use Singular, a mobile measurement service from Singular Labs, to measure which ads lead to installs, trials and purchases. Singular acts as our service provider.

Singular collects device identifiers, including the Identifier for Vendors (IDFV) and a Singular device ID. On iOS, it collects the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) only if you allow tracking in Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.

It also collects your IP address, device model, operating system and app version, and language. The IP address is used to determine your country, not your precise location.

Singular receives events for installs, sessions, paywall views, trial starts, and paid purchases. RevenueCat forwards purchase and renewal events to Singular. This information can be linked to you through device identifiers.

We use this information for analytics, app functionality, third-party advertising, and our own advertising and marketing. Singular sends conversion results to Apple Ads, Meta, Google, TikTok and Reddit so we can measure ad performance and decide where to spend our ad budget.

When you allow it, this use includes tracking as Apple defines it: linking data from this App with data from other companies' apps or websites for advertising measurement.

You can choose "Ask App Not to Track" in the iOS prompt. You can change this choice in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you decline, Singular cannot access your IDFA. Other app usage and purchase data is still collected as described above.

Our website uses the Meta Pixel and the TikTok Pixel. When you visit a page, they record which page you opened and whether you tapped an App Store or Google Play link, along with your IP address, browser type and cookie IDs. Meta and TikTok use this to tell us which ads brought people to the site, and they may use it to show you ads. To stop it, turn on tracking protection in your browser or use a content blocker.

To request deletion of data used for advertising measurement, email privacy@dualcapture.com. Tell us whether you use DualCapture or DualTake.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes:

  • Provide Services: To deliver the App's features and functionality, including dual-camera capture, video recording, and photo editing.
  • Process Transactions: To process your purchases and manage your subscription status.
  • Improve the App: To analyze usage patterns and improve the App's performance, features, and user experience.
  • Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical assistance.
  • Communications: To send you updates about the App, new features, and important notices (you can opt out of promotional communications).
  • Security: To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and security threats.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate our business (e.g., analytics providers, cloud hosting services, customer support tools).
  • Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
  • With Your Consent: We may share information for other purposes with your explicit consent.

Third-Party Services We Use

  • RevenueCat: For subscription management and in-app purchase processing. RevenueCat also forwards purchase and renewal events to Singular.
  • Apple App Store: For app distribution and payment processing.
  • Singular: For advertising measurement using device identifiers, app activity, and purchase information, as described above.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL protocols

  • Transaction Data: Retained for the period required by applicable tax and commercial laws.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@dualcapture.com, and we will take steps to delete such information.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. When we transfer your information internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities, to protect your information.

  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
